DIGITAL SOLUTIONS PROGRAM

Small business advice, support & training.

Through the support of the Australian Government, The van Diemen Project delivers the Digital Solutions Australian Small Business Advisory Services program – a subsidised, low cost program which helps businesses receive relevant and solutions focused business advice.

Delivered by a range of multidisciplinary advisors, businesses can benefit from 4 hours of one-on-one tailored mentoring to help you discover opportunities for growth, overcome challenges, enhance your digital presence, and expand your customer base. You will also be able to join a range of interactive workshops and events that you can attend in person or online.

We always put people first, and we remember that at the centre of each idea or business is a person. This means we focus on what matters to the individual, create a safe place for sharing ideas and tackling problems, and aim to empower others through our own personal knowledge and experience.

OUR CLIENTS

GLASS MANIFESTO

International artists from Glass Manifesto, Anne & Peter first approached the team for help in applying for a grant via the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund. Having relocated their gallery to Launceston’s historic wharf district, they were looking for creative ways to engage tourists in the art space and attract Tasmanian art enthusiasts.

Peter and Anne worked with our marketing advisors to plan a campaign specifically targeting tourists entering the state through geotargeting as well as a ‘Meet the Makers’ experience as part of Tourism Tasmania’s Off Season campaign. As part of an initiative to support the arts in regional and remote Australia, they were fortunate enough to receive two grants to launch their campaigns.

GOMODDI

Director of goModdi, Richard first approached the team regarding a prototype that he was working on for a prefabricated, modular alternative to traditional building designs, a business idea that is expected to attract a national, if not global audience.

Richard saw the demand for alternative housing solutions after observing the huge pressures placed on infrastructure and the environment in Australia, not to mention the overall cost of a purchasing and building a traditional home.

Our team worked with Richard to advise on and plan the creation of his website, which includes an augmented reality component that allows potential buyers to walk through the design and see how the structure will appear on their existing land.

“Recently mentored by four team members, my business plan has taken shape and my website now ranks on the first page of Google, which is essential when approximately 75% of purchases are made from the first page of search results. Everyone is friendly, professional and you can see just how invested they are in helping local Tasmanian businesses succeed.”
